The "Quasi-Constant Volume" presentation took place 3 meters away from Pattakon's booth (where the monitors were playing videos like OPREiii Diesel, 3MB, QuickTime format so aloud, that the ladies of the show came again and again to ask to lower the sound volume).
A mechanical engineer from the audience came and said "They extend the piston dwell at TDC by introducing more complication than you can imagine. They talk for only 600 rpm. It seems they know nothing about the OPRE engine."
The professor-speaker was invited to come and see the two working OPRE Diesel engines in pattakon booth. A paper was handed to him writing "It will take you 1 second to come and see YOUR engine".
Incidentally, a year later (Engine-Expo-2009) the advantages of
the OPRE engines were presented by a third party. Many thanks
to Loughborough University UK and to Dr Rui Chen for their work
on QCV (and on OPRE engine, as well).
